Join us for Boise Hot Poet Open Mic & Book Club, a cozy, vibey gathering for women, creatives to read, write, listen, and share poetry in a welcoming space. Hosted by Helena Rose of She Is Poetry: a local author, writer, traveler, teacher, and artist.

This event is about celebrating your voice and the magic of words.

5:30–6:00 PM: Poetry Book Club & Writing Discussion:

BOOK of the Month- The Wellspring by Sharon Olds (or on Thriftbooks for $6+)
We’ll explore our current poetry pick, talk about themes, craft, and inspiration, and spark conversation about writing and creativity.

6:00–7:00 PM :Open Mic
Share your work or simply listen. Bring:
• Your own poems
• Fragments and rough drafts
• Unfiltered lines
• Pieces from your journal
• Or lines from your favorite poets

No experience necessary!! Just bring your curiosity and your love for words.

This space is for H.O.T women, Writing Her Own Truth, creative souls who want to speak honestly, experiment with language, and connect with other literary souls.
