Join poet and author Helena Rose for an intimate evening of spoken word, poetry, and art from Sugar May at a local gallery called Sureal's Place in Garden City.
This special evening celebrates the upcoming release of Bad Girl, Helena’s newest poetry collection exploring womanhood, desire, heartbreak, rebellion, self-discovery, and the beautiful messiness of being a woman who refuses to make herself smaller.

Alongside the performance, enjoy the artwork of a featured local artist, explore the gallery, and connect with fellow creatives.
And because poetry belongs to everyone, the evening will also include an open sharing session. Bring a poem "bad girl" poem you’ve written, a favorite piece, or simply come to listen. There will be a little room at the end for all the bad women to share their lines!
