🔥 H.O.T. POETS WRITING CIRCLE: THE BODY AS ART 🔥

October’s writing circle is an invitation to turn your life, your body, your identity, and your experiences into art.

This month, we’ll study three wildly different artists and writers who each transformed personal experience into powerful creative work:

🎨 FRIDA KAHLO — self-portraiture, symbolism, pain, identity & turning your life into art

🖤 AUDRE LORDE — voice, power, the body, identity, anger & writing what you're afraid to say

🌹 NIKKI GIOVANNI — intimacy, rhythm, conversational poetry, love & developing an unmistakable voice

We’ll look at their work, talk about the choices they made as artists, and then put those lessons into practice through guided writing exercises.

This is NOT about writing the “perfect” poem.

It’s about getting closer to your own voice.
